DEKO glazed partitions for Grundfos' new Texas offices – supplied by a dynamic partner in Houston

The world’s largest pump manufacturer, Grundfos, has opened its new office building in the heart of Texas, close to the state’s most populous city, Houston. DEKO has delivered its signature product, DEKO FG fully glazed partitions, to the Danish company’s new offices. The glazed partitions have been installed by DEKO’s local partner, construction company Marek Brothers.

DEKO fully glazed partitions adorn the corridors

Walking around Grundfos’ Texan office building, one cannot help noticing DEKO’s fully glazed partitions, which adorn the pump manufacturer’s office landscape. The glazed partition’s minimalist design and light maximisation have led to its becoming DEKO’s signature product and to its being used in innumerable buildings.

DEKO FG consists of single layer full-height glazed panels, finished with slim aluminium profiles and adjacent architectural elements. The partition features a sound reduction of Rw 42 dB and is no thicker than between 27-32 mm.

At Grundfos, DEKO DG glazed doors have been built into the partitions. The beautiful finish is guaranteed as each double-glazed door consists of 2 layers of transparent safety glass fitted in an aluminium frame without the use of visible screws.

On the second floor you will also find a specially made DEKO FG fully glazed partition which is 3.9 metres high. Not only that, DEKO has also delivered its proprietary smart glass for the passages in the Grundfos building. DEKO smart glass is one of DEKO’s premium products: by means of an electric field, the entire glazed partition can be ‘frosted’, making it impossible to see through.

A home run

According to Roland Mercier, Production Manager at Marek Brothers, the co-operation with DEKO has been a great success.

“As far as I’m concerned, our co-operation has simply been a ‘home run’. We encountered neither purchasing nor financial problems of any kind. The partnership also marries perfectly with the competencies that Marek Brothers are looking for. Previous partners have not shown the commitment we require. That problem does not exist at DEKO,” says Roland Mercier.

Mercier further notes that ease of communication has played a significant role in the success of the co-operation.

“It’s easy to contact the people you need at DEKO. They make themselves available and often compromise on their own time to make things work. For me, that’s been an absolute gamechanger,” he says.

Top class international co-operation

From Sweden to Australia, DEKO has been working with partners abroad from the early 90s. This wealth of experience within sales and international co-operation has made DEKO a familiar brand.

DEKO’s products are strongly influenced by the Scandinavian school of design, which is characterised by simplicity and functionality.

It is for this reason that DEKO’s product range fits so well in both modern and older interior designs. Our export department boasts a strong team, always at the ready to assist and advise our customers.
