DEKO Glazed Partitions - Enhanced Workspace

New research centre at the University of Copenhagen has unique interior fit out.

The Danish magazine “Ingeniøren” recently published an article about the new research centre at the University of Copenhagen, Centre for Protein Research (CPR).

In an interview, Michael Sundström, Managing Director at CPR stated that in order to become the leading research centre within the field of protein research it was not only necessary to have the best researchers, and financial security but that it was equally important to have the best possible working facilities to enhance co-operation and interaction between the researchers.

In order to achieve the optimum environment, DEKO was chosen to fit out the 4500 m² space with laboratories, offices, conference rooms, and kitchens etc. DEKO FG fully glazed partitions with fully glazed doors in sound proof aluminium door frames and DEKO GV F-30 fire proof double glazed partitions have been used throughout the entire research centre.

DEKO glazed partitions have provided maximum visibility and interaction throughout the area whilst maintaining the best possible working and research conditions suitable for high levels of concentration and study.

In addition to the obvious advantages of an open working environment DEKO glazed partitions also offer a low maintenance alternative to traditional glazed systems as the surfaces of DEKO FG and DEKO GV are extremely smooth making them extremely easy to clean - an important factor for most laboratory and research environments.

As a finishing touch the Danish artist Erik Steffensen has decorated the glass with green, purple, red, and orange applied film, creating a modern and exciting research environment.
