Nordic warmth meets raw concrete at CPH Pulse

In Skanska’s distinctive office building CPH Pulse at Havneholmen, DEKO has supplied Tré glass partitions for BDO’s (one of Denmark’s leading auditing and consulting firms) new headquarters. The solution combines open, modern settings for collaboration with a tactile materiality that brings nature into the working environment.

When the auditing and advisory firm BDO set out to furnish three floors, the ambition was to create a workplace where professionalism and warmth go hand in hand — with a focus on light, materials and well-being for more than 300 employees.

The inspiration came from Skanska’s own headquarters in the neighbouring building, CPH Highline, where wood plays a central role in the interior through a custom glass partition solution from Wallmakers powered by DEKO. This led to the choice of the Tré system — a glass partition solution with profiles and frames in wood, combining aesthetics and functionality.

High sound insulation in open surroundings

In an auditing and advisory environment, discretion is essential. The glass partitions at BDO are therefore designed with a sound classification of 46 dB and supplemented with timber-framed glass doors with a sound reduction of 35 dB.

The solution ensures effective screening in meeting rooms and work zones, allowing confidential conversations to take place undisturbed — without compromising daylight or visual openness.

The slim profiles in veneered oak balance the building’s raw materials, such as concrete and glass, and add warmth and tactility to the space. At the same time, a discreet matt film on the glass surfaces creates a fine balance between openness and privacy.

Tré: A flexible system with fire classification

Tré has been developed as a complete and flexible system, ranging from classic office partitions to highly insulated fire-rated glass solutions. This makes it possible to work with a consistent architectural expression throughout the building — including in areas with stricter fire-safety requirements.

In the stairwell connecting BDO’s floors, DEKO has supplied and installed FG Fire glass partitions with EI120 fire classification. The solution continues the transparent expression while ensuring a high level of fire safety.

As part of DEKO’s focus on the future of construction, Tré can also be supplied in a resource-conscious variant — fire-tested in a construction made from discarded pine. This demonstrates how circular principles can be integrated into solutions with high fire-technical requirements.

A workplace with warmth, transparacy and flexibility

With the Tré solution at CPH Pulse, BDO has gained an office environment where the choice of materials supports both identity and atmosphere. The transparent glass surfaces create visual coherence and flexible work zones, while the warmth of the wood contributes to a working environment that supports both collaboration and focus.
